N.B. For single semester students, please be advised that Semester 1 is 18 weeks long and Semester 2 is 22 weeks long. The above Moiety payment split applies to full year students only.

Deposits and Utilities

BOOKING / DAMAGE DEPOSIT

There is a Booking/Damage Deposit in the amount of €300 due on application. The booking deposit becomes the damage/security deposit on signing the rental agreement. This is returned, less any deductions, 6-8 weeks after the end of the lease. The Booking/Damage Deposit is not included in the Moiety payments listed above.

ELECTRICITY DEPOSIT / BILL MANAGEMENT FEE

There is an Electricity Deposit / Bill Management Fee due in the amount of €350 on or before 17th of August 2017. €300 is held on deposit towards electricity usage and any unused portion will be refunded 6-8 weeks after the end of the lease. €50 is a non-refundable fee and covers administration and payment of electricity, TV, broadband, and refuse bills throughout the term of the lease. The Electicity Deposit / Bill Management Fee is not included in the Moiety payments listed above.

Note, for single semester students the Electricity Deposit / Bill Management Fee is €225. €200 goes towards electricity usage with any unused balance refundable, and €25 in a non-refundable.

SERVICE CHARGES

There are Service Charges in the amount of €195.00 per semester due with each Moiety or semester payment. This charge covers services to the property, is fixed and is non refundable. It includes the TV licence, TV channels, broadband, shuttle bus and refuse. Service Charges are not included in semester payments.

Note on Water Charges

The above deposits and charges do not cover Water Charges, since their suspension in June 2016. Should water charges be reintroduced before or during the 17/18 academic year they will be payable directly by the residents.

 

To Make a booking:

Complete the online application form, and request room type(s) in order of preference. Please do not select a room type as your 2nd/3rd option if you have no desire to accept that room type, if offered. During the room allocation process, when we get to your application if one of your chosen room types is available we will contact you by e-mail offering the room. You will be given 48 hours to make the Booking Deposit payment of €300 to confirm the booking. Once the payment is received we will confirm your booking. PLEASE NOTE : Completion of the application is not a guarantee of a booking.


Cancellation Policy

If a 1st year applicant wishes to cancel or is unsuccessful in their college application, he/she must cancel in writing by 5:00pm on 22nd August 2017. Cancellations by telephone will not be accepted; they must be made by email or post. In the event of such a cancellation, €100 cancellation fee will be deducted from the booking/security deposit and the remainder refunded via bank transfer. No refunds will be made for cancellations made after this date.

If a 2nd, 3rd, 4th year, PG etc. applicant wishes to cancel he/she must do so by 5:00pm on 10th August 2017. Cancellations by telephone will not be accepted; they must be made by email or post. In the event of such a cancellation, €100 cancellations fee will be deducted from the booking/security deposit and the remainder refunded via bank transfer. No refunds will be made for cancellations made after this date.

If any applicant cancels after 5pm on the 17th August 2017 (or anytime thereafter), having paid the moiety, electricity/water and utilities, the onus will be on the applicant to find a replacement for their accommodation. Dunaras has no obligation to find an alternative applicant to fill this bed space, however we will assist to refill this bed space. Failure to refill bed space will result in the applicant losing all monies paid
